On April 9th, I provided testimony the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights to for their study on the criminalization of HIV non-disclosure. Alongside a number of other experts from across Canada, I invited and asked to speak to the issue in Ottawa. At the hearing, I read findings from my dissertation, speaking to the social, physical, and psychological harms of criminalization on people living with HIV who have first-hand experience. A transcript from my testimony can be read here on the committee’s webpage.
